Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 commission

About the Role
MEI-Total Elevator Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager who will be responsible for the continued growth of MEI’s service account portfolio by proactively prospecting potential new customers and building long-term relationships that lead to future sales within field operations.
Responsibilities
- Generate new service contracts via cold calling, customer and mechanic referrals, targeted marketing initiatives, and data made available by cities and states within the respective market
- Build and maintain prospect database of viable service contracts detailing types of elevators, current service provider, contract length, and competitor analysis within the territory
- Identify new service contract potential within existing branch territories and potential new branch territories
- Work with local AHJ’s to gain access to additional elevator data (cities, governmental departments)
- Effectively manage service opportunities within MEI’s CRM and Service Quoting Tools
- Understand MEI’s service contract offerings and conditions, and develop an approach to effectively present the appropriate contract to potential customers
- Thoroughly understand and peruse targeted customers and contract types based historical branch performance and success
- Develop and maintain business plan strategies and communicate monthly progress updates
- Meet and exceed specified sales and growth targets to expand service base
- Coordinate and collaborate with local branch representatives to understand equipment and field capabilities
- Cooperate with local branch representatives to efficiently onboard new service accounts and transition customer relationships to appropriate Account Managers
- Execute additional tasks as needed
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
- 2-4 years of sales experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
