Accountant

To assist the department in maintaining accurate information by performing generalized accounting functions

• Job costing/ valuation of inventory
• Assist physical inventory counts
• AR collection
• Process credit applications for new customers
• Process rebates and returns
• Assist PP&E reporting
• Post journal entries, prepaids and accruals
• Post cash receipts
• Post batches in Epicor
• Work with warehouse to facilitate daily cycle counts of inventory, reconcile and enter results. Audit discrepancies
• Maintain customer and vendor filing, including annually archiving records for storage and disposal.
• Provides internal and external customer service
• Assist in month-end close
• Provides backup for key activities of Controller and Accounting Staff
• Complies with EHS requirements
• Follows SWI, policies/procedures
• Other duties when assigned

• Understanding of financial statements, general ledger and job costing
• Epicor knowledge preferred or related ERP system
• Attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize
• Computer proficient
• Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Works independently
• Four year college degree in Accounting and three to five years relevant experience is preferred
• Conditions normal for an office environment
• Flexibility in schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
