The role requires a creative and versatile storyteller who can connect with current and prospective customers to drive growth, engagement and loyalty. This position reports to the Creative Director, and will work cross-functionally with growth marketing, retention, site, and design in a fast-paced, yet fun and rewarding environment.
Our marketing team operates like an internal agency — we have everyone from designers, project managers, video editors, to web producers. The team is growing, but it’s still a manageable size, and you would be joining another copywriter.
What You’ll Do
- Write copy across the entire customer funnel including digital ads, social content, direct mail, search ads, landing pages, website copy, emails. and any other content as needed.
- Immerse yourself in the cookware world and help Misen develop new compelling narratives that help sell our products.
- Connect with the Product Team on features & details, and make them digestible. Yummy!
- Maintain a consistent brand voice while still writing copy that feels personalized and friendly, clear and knowledgeable, and provides customers with the urgency to act.
- Discover and implement more efficient processes to account for a growing number of briefs and scripts.
- Use data to inform content decisions, measure results, and identify opportunities for increased brand awareness, engagement and growth.
- Help mentor additional copywriters on the creative team.
Who You Are

- Understands the importance of process and organization to the overall efficiency of the team
- Customer-obsessed who intuitively thinks through the lens of the target audience
- Able to mix the art and the science. You love using data to inform copy strategy and are constantly ideating on ways to optimize performance
- Has a positive, humble attitude — no task is too granular for you
- Great at distilling the most important information and understanding how to present that to a reader in a compelling way.
- A love of cooking and helping people cook will be extremely helpful in this role.
You’ll love working at Misen because
- We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people
- We offer competitive compensation, generous health benefits (health, vision, dental), a fun and relaxed office environment

About Misen
Our name comes from ‘mise en place’ — a culinary term that means “to put in place.” Chefs use the term to describe the process of setting up their stations before service. Misen is an ode to mise en place; better cooking through proper preparation with quality tools.
Our mission at Misen (www.misen.co) is to inspire and enable great cooking. For us, well-made kitchen tools are essential to that; whether it’s getting a perfect golden sear with a quality pan or beautifully slicing vegetables with a sharp knife, quality tools create better meals - and just make cooking more fun. By selling directly to consumers online and cutting out retail middlemen, we’re able to offer thoughtfully designed and premium-quality kitchen tools at honest prices.
We launched in 2015, with our Chef’s Knife raising over $1M in Kickstarter pledges. Since then, we’ve been slowly expanding our offerings for the kitchen—including stainless steel cookware and nonstick pans—and have even bigger plans for the future. Now, we’re looking for a few incredible humans to help us build the next phase of our growth.
