Job Summary:
Mission Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Culinary inspired driven talent for upscale hospital Cook to join our team in Panorama City, California. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals for doctors, catering, patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with opportunities for growth within our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and menu items while adhering to specific dietary restrictions and guidelines
- Ensure all food items are properly prepared, stored, and rotated to maintain freshness and quality
- Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety and compliance with health code regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of equipment and supplies
- Collaborate with dietary staff and other kitchen staff to plan and execute meals for patients with special dietary needs
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of food and supplies
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- Assist in training and supervising new kitchen staff as needed
- Participate in and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 5-10 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen setting, preferably in a healthcare or medical facility
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to follow established recipes and menu items, as well as adapt to dietary restrictions and guidelines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
