Job Summary and Qualifications
The Patient Care Technician I position demonstrates competencies in the CNA role and provides an opportunity to develop additional competencies to progress to the Patient Care Technician II role.CNA Summary and Essential Accountabilities:Under the direction of the licensed nurse, performs basic nursing care and personal care activities such as taking vital signs, assisting with admission and discharge of patients, and assisting with personal hygiene and meals for patients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED. Comparable experience and skills also considered.
REQUIRED LICENSE: Must have and maintain current listing with Division of Facility Services as CNA I or II.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in health care environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Hospital or Nursing Home
