JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for conducting orientation with new employees, ensuring new hire documentation and new hire personnel files are complete. The Human Resources Generalist will provide support to the Human Resources team in their day-to-day operational roles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing HR records including, resumes, applicant logs, and employee forms
- Follow-up with Managers to ensure we have the necessary employee paperwork
- Perform onboarding activities including preparing offer letters, completing new hire paperwork
- Accurately prepare HR’s internal paperwork
- Serve as backup for HRIS representative when necessary.
- Maintain employee personnel files
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices to Director of Human Resources
- General Office Duties include, but are not limited to, greeting visitors, answering phones, filing, and sorting mail
- Coordinate meetings
- Coordinate projects and events
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Complete monthly spreadsheets
- Perform other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-stress environment.
- Ability to deal with changing objectives, deadlines, and priorities beyond one’s control as needed.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline and/or a minimum of 3 years of prior work experience in Human Resources preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Strong ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
