Writing Center Consultant

Essential Duties
Maintain hours in the Writing Center. Assist students with essays whether that be grammatical, organizational, or documentation. Students will also regularly check for online submissions and respond to any writing-related issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a sophomore and passed both Comp I and Comp II with at least a B in both courses.
Job Description Summary
Writing Center Consultants will maintain 6 hours a week in the Writing Center. They will assist any walk-ins who may have issues with writing. They will help assist students with their papers. Writing Center Consultants will also check for online submissions and respond to any writing-related issues.
Hours of Availability
Typically the Writing Center is open from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well as 9-12 on Friday. Actual schedules will vary depending on class schedules as well as other jobs.
