DATA ANALYST, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo)-Portfolio Reporting and Solutions (PRS)Team-Operations Group, to be responsible for the curation and validation of master data with a focus on high data quality, reliability, and practicality; and supporting any data-related requests/initiatives that arise. Responsibilities include daily curation of master data and periodic curation of proxy exposures; reviewing data validations; collaborating across MITIMCo to identify and develop common data standards which lead to improved data quality and reliability; maintaining documentation and metadata definitions; understanding MITIMCo’s data flows and data model to support and resolve data-related requests; defining, modeling, and performing acceptance testing data solutions built by the application development team; and assisting with problem-solving and idea development.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in computer science, finance, accounting, or economics; at least three years’ experience as a data analyst, business analyst, data management analyst, or in a similar role; financial services experience; ability to work with large, complex data sets to evaluate and support the implementation of business initiatives; understanding how the data affects the organization’s operations, including applying experience with hedge fund and private equity fund investments, the underlying instruments in those funds, and the operations of an active real estate portfolio; strong Microsoft Office, SQL, and business intelligence tool skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); strong verbal and written communication skills; self-motivation; and meticulous attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing needs, adjust to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines; collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals; deal with ambiguity; and work under pressure.
