Maintenance Manager job responsibilities include:
- Assists and develops direct reports to achieve desired results. Direct responsibility for all department employees to ensure proper orientations, training, development, compensation and working conditions are present
- Manage personnel
- Purchase materials and supplies for the uptake of facilities and machines
- Manage departmental budget
- Responsible for planning work time to meet all needs of the plant
- Ability to work in adverse conditions safely and ensure the safety of personnel
- Actively participate in the Safety Committee
- Work with Engineering to modify existing equipment for new uses
- Fabricate new equipment; install new equipment
- Assist Plant leader with the selection of equipment and plant layout
- Design and implement the preventive maintenance system
- Provide technical assistance to the production department and work with production personnel to maintain and improve quality
- Reflect Milgard business values and the Milgard Philosophy in all business interactions
- Ensure the safety of personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Ten years of related responsibilities and supervision experience required
- Four-year degree in engineering or related field preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project
- Mechanical experience maintaining equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical, electronic controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, cutting, welding, fabrication, and tooling
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints and schematics
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment in all the aforementioned areas
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
