What You'll Do...
- Serve as the subject matter expert regarding the interpretation of federal, state, and local EHS regulations. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators.
- Develop and manage the sites EHS committees.
- Own the sites RC14001 Management System. Lead a continuous improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programs.
- Ensure that audits and follow-ups are in place to drive a culture of EHS accountability with all site leaders.
- Lead the incident investigation processes and support leadership behavioral change and accountability with all leaders through personal follow-up and coaching.
- Prepare and manage site security, safety, health, environmental, and sustainability objectives and goals in support of the regional and global strategy. Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategies.
- Manage all aspects of environmental permitting at the site. Ensure that the agency interfaces are prepared to professionally partner with regulators.
- Ensure that all EHS requirements are met through the project stage gate and/or management of change reviews.
- Manage employee training programs to ensure required trainings are completed.
- Responsible for industrial hygiene activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
