Senior Performance Discipline Chief

The Senior Performance Discipline Chief will be part of a cross-functional engineering group focused on identifying key performance parameters that can optimize and deliver expected system-level performance for our aero-derivative customers.

Job Responsibilities Summary

• Perform detailed performance analysis of gas turbine power generation systems and sub-systems
• Create system-level performance estimates supporting new equipment sales and aftermarket product upgrades
• Evaluate new and overhauled engine performance across test cells
• Analyze and diagnose field and test stand performance shortfalls and/or deviations from expected baselines
• Support individual customer service inquiries and performance-related analyses
• Prepare performance reports and presentations for Company management, customers, and other stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in gas turbine power plant operations or performance engineering
• Strong knowledge of gas turbine performance cycle analysis, gas turbine technology, power plant operation, and gas turbine control logic
• Experience with performance trend monitoring, data analysis tools, and Numerical Propulsion System Simulation (NPSS®)
• NPSS data reduction and method development capability preferred
• Ability to visualize and analyze data utilizing Python toolsets
• Familiarity with power augmentation systems and performance implications resultant from inlet fogging and water injection systems
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to power plant performance testing and emissions
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication and team collaboration capabilities·

Education / Experience

• B.S. Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 12 years of experience in the field of gas turbine performance

· Up to 10% domestic or international travel may be required
