Join the MKS Instruments Team as a Manufacturing Coating Technician first shift producing optical filters essential in the fight to defeat COVID-19. Optical filters are a key component in the early detection of the COVID-19 virus.
We are looking for an entry level Manufacturing Coating Technician who is willing to be trained to operate and maintain a vacuum coating chamber per the production schedule.
Your job:
- Train to operate Coating Chambers following standard operating procedures with precisely defined configuration
- Capture and analyze data, including yield trends, and deviations to uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with the Thin Film Engineers to continuously improve processes
- Contribute to the maintenance of procedural documentation
- Operates and maintains vacuum coating chamber per production schedule
- Clean and Inspect parts both before and after deposition process
- Set up coating chamber per work orders, this can include various coating processes
Shift:
- 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm
- Excellent hourly rate
What you will bring to the team along with your curiosity and ingenuity is:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1 year of related experience (preferred, not required)
- A desire to learn and grow your manufacturing career
- Machine operating experience (preferred, not required)
- Strong computer skills
- Optics manufacturing environment experience (preferred, not required)
