At MLT, we create solutions by empowering our people to fulfill their passion for service. In support of Product Manager Ammunition, we are seeking a Management Analyst III with experience in supporting (DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/ principles/organizational protocols).
The specific requirements and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides analytical support in any of the following disciplines: engineering, science, business, financial, cost, or program management. Typical duties performed may include; analysis, design, development, testing, integration, logistics, program management, cost, financial, or management analysis, or maintenance of systems, processes, programs, offices or products. Develops and/or reviews acquisition documentation, program reports, papers, drawings, specifications, procedures.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors degree in a business or technical field is preferred with ten (10) years of progressive professional work experience in program analytics within the Department of Defense (DoD). Experience shall include collection, review, and analysis of information in order to make recommendations to the Government. Six (6) years of direct experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
Specific/Preferred Requirements:
Experience in the application and interpretation of Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Navy (DON) explosives safety policy to United States Marine Corps (USMC) explosives operations;
Basic computer skills in order to generate reports and update information in USMC explosives safety databases;
Prepare and review USMC explosives safety policy and technical regulations while ensuring compliance with DON and DoD directives and policies;
Analyze the application of explosives safety regulations at USMC installations and activities;
Assist in the conduct of safety analysis in support of Investigations of USMC explosives accidents at installations and activities and at other sites as required;
Conduct USMC explosives safety inspections-compliance reviews, munitions response evaluations, and related inspections and evaluations;
Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and briefings for DoD, DON, and USMC committees and panels;
Develop recommendations for the Environmental and Explosive Safety (EES) Branch Head to address courses of action necessary for the resolution of unprecedented, controversial, or other significant matters pertaining to explosives safety, at USMC installations, activities, or tactical environments;
Attend working group meetings, boards, panels, and other explosives safety related meetings in support of the EES Branch;
Analyze requests to deviate from explosive safety regulations received from USMC installations/activities/commands and provide the results of the analysis to the EES Branch;
Review explosives safety site plans for compliance with DoD and DON criteria.
