The MMGY Travel Intelligence division is vital to the company’s strategy and to ensuring its sustainable competitive advantage in the industry.
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The Research Analyst reports directly to MMGY’s VP, Travel Performance Data, with dotted-line reporting to various Research Account Managers depending on the assigned project or client relationship.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supports assigned research projects and client relationships to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and overall excellence of all MMGY client deliverables;
Conducts preliminary review of data sets to assist research account managers (RAMs) with their analysis and identification of relevant insights and trends;
Provides an additional level of quality assurance for all assigned deliverables;
Coordinates project schedules with relevant departments and/or management;
Drafts and manages communications with clients as directed by RAMs;
Works closely with Data Operations team to help prepare and organize all upcoming projects for RAM teams;
Works with RAMs to aid them in the preparation of written reports, spreadsheets, or other client deliverables;
Collaborates, on a cross-functional basis, with other MMGY teams including, but not limited to, the data strategy, media strategy, and account management teams;
Other duties as assigned by VP/Travel Performance Data.
Requirements:
4-year BA/BS degree in market research, mathematics, statistics, or related field strongly preferred. Graduate degree a plus.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in market research, data analytics, trend-based tracking and analysis, or similar;
Experience in statistical modeling, data analytics, and data management tools, including SPSS and Microsoft Excel, preferred;
Experience in the travel and/or tourism industries is a plus;
Must have excellent attention to detail;
Must be proactive, self-motivated, adept at dealing with ambiguity, possess strong time management skills, and have excellent written and oral communication skills;
Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Occasional travel may be required.
