State Controller

We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibility:

• Primary leader to the accounting/finance team.
• Report monthly results to key stakeholders with analysis of key performance indicators and explanations of variances.
• Present financials at physician meetings, board meetings, and finance committee meetings.
• Develop robust reporting packages as requested by management and physicians.
• Investigate and identify the causes of variances in financial statements accurately.
• Prepare the annual budget.
• Communicate with key operational, physician, and centralized support counterparts.
• Recommend improvements and efficiencies in accounting and finance operations.
• Perform ad hoc and pro forma analyses as needed.
• Manage all capital requisitions, including proforma and business case development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (with appropriate experience) is required.
• Practice management/healthcare experience preferred.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years managing others.
• Strong foundation in accounting required; strong analytical/FP&A experience preferred.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred, but not required.
• Initially work in-person from the Corporate Office in Teaneck for 4 days per week to build relationships, prioritize objectives, and establish team culture.
• Increased remote workdays acceptable in the future as State Controller capabilities are demonstrated and team objectives are met.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
