The Intake Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the intake processes including but not limited to the onboarding of new patients, internal auditing, reporting, and providing guidance and direction to the Intake team.
To excel in this role you should be personable, service-oriented, and have professionalism of the highest caliber with exemplary communication. Strong attention to detail is required as this position routinely handles patient information in electronic medical records. Having excellent time management and multi-tasking skills, strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability prioritize work are essential for this role.
The Intake Manager's responsibilities include:
- Manage the performance of assigned staff within the Intake department, provide comprehensive, quality service to all internal/external customers.
- Maintain the department standard operating procedures are current and updated as required.
- Establishes, supports, and monitors quality standard goals for team.
- Promotes an environment of patient centered care, building a cohesive team that promotes a positive patient experience that exceeds expectations with every encounter.
- Educating potential patients and their caregivers on the services offered by Mobile Physician Services, policies, and billing requirements.
- Assist new patients in completing admissions paperwork.Admits new patients after gathering patient records, medical histories, and verifying insurance information.
- Ensuring all billing systems are updated timely with patient demographics, payer information, and notated appropriately.
- Ensuring Mobile Physician Services is compliant with all state and federal regulations including HIPAA guidelines.
