Responsibilities
As a Senior Flight Test Engineer you will support the Department of the Air Force in aircraft test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Ability to understand and apply knowledge of air vehicle system architecture, design, subsystem integration, and mission systems avionics
- Participate in development of overall test planning such as a TEMP, test points, test cards, etc.
- Provide integrated engineering support for test planning working groups, execution, and post-flight reporting
- Participates in and supports design reviews and serve as a liaison with relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 14 years of professional experience
- Direct hands-on experience in all phases of planning, executing, and managing flight tests
- Successful candidate will have a reputation of being a team player and possess a passion for flight test
- Possess maturity and professionalism to lead the execution of a flight test missions, and briefings
- Position requires willingness to accept changing and evolving roles & responsibilities in support of customers’ requirements and need
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
Desired Qualifications:
- Test Pilot Graduate a plus
- Previous experience as aircrew member (Pilot, EWO, NAV, etc.) desired
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field; Desired master’s degree in technical field
Clearance Requirements:
- Candidate will need to have a US TS SCI security clearance
