What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at Moen?
This role can be remote, but will work with a team that is predominantly located in the Eastern Time Zone. Our Data Analyst will support the Global Quality Team at Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group, this role will collaborate across multiple functional areas to understand business needs and be responsible for building self-service dashboards and reports to meet those needs. The incumbent will take ownership of presenting actionable insights to leadership and the global team. And will be a key stakeholder in the strategic development of our data governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop analytic capabilities to provide insights that influence actionable outcomes to Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Post Sales Support and Product Development.
- Maximize use of existing data to provide insights that influence actionable outcomes from the business
- Create roadmap of new data needed to enable world class industry best practices for enablement of decision making
- Develop Qlik reporting tools and support analytical requests from other teams and leadership.
- Actively participate in the development of integrity, access, security, and usability of data to enable high value analytics
- Support problem solving efforts of customer facing issues
- Develop insightful analytic capabilities utilizing industry best practices
- Actively support the development of the Global Quality Strategic plan
- Facilitate regular reviews of key operational metrics
- Champion data literacy and a data-driven culture
Bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred.- 3 years of experience in analytics is required. An advanced degree can be considered in lieu of experience. Experience in product development and manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in data visualization or data analytics platforms such as Qlikview, Power BI or Tableau is required. Experience with Qlikview and Qlik Sense is preferred.
- SAP experience is preferred.
- Experience applying analytics to drive results, better informed decisions, and quicker decision making
- Planning and problem-solving skills
- Superior communication skills, both in written and verbal presentation
- Experience with modeling is preferred.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization is preferred
