Job Summary:

The Food & Beverage Manager at Mohican Lodge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage department. This individual will ensure excellent customer service, quality food and beverage offerings, and efficient operations to maintain the high standards of Mohican Lodge. The role is full-time and based in Perrysville, Ohio, and reports to the General Manager.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time individual contributor role with a competitive salary of $43,000 per year, paid biweekly. The position also includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and resolving any guest concerns or complaints.
- Oversee and train staff members on proper food and beverage preparation, presentation, and customer service.
- Monitor and manage the budget for the food and beverage department, including labor costs, supplies, and expenses.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and maintain high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement promotions and special events to increase revenue and attract new customers.
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure efficient operations and a positive guest experience.
- Maintain compliance with all health codes, food safety regulations, and liquor laws.
- Conduct regular inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels and cost efficiency.
- Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff members to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.

Requirements:

- Experience in a food and beverage management role, is preferable in a hotel or resort setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, cost control, and service standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of health codes, food safety regulations, and liquor laws.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale software.
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
