Position: Installation Manager

Dept: Warehouse Delivery and Installation

Reports to: Director of Operations

Classification: Exempt

Date: September 2022


Summary:

Responsible for planning and managing the installation staff to successfully perform the activities for inventory, delivery and install, warehouse maintenance and maintaining installation equipment, supplies and vehicles.


Essential Functions:

  • Hire (with HR assistance), coach, mentor and develop personnel as necessary to achieve the goals established for volume and quality
  • Manage the daily activities of warehouse and installation departments of operational associates to include motivation, conflict resolution, reviews and raises, etc.
  • Maintain management of receipt of all product and ensure that all product is handled in a professional manner, minimizing damage or potential damage by others
  • Communicate with Install crew to ensure correct product is pulled and loaded for deliver to customer site
  • Interface with Install crew to ensure that product returns are fully documented and communicated to the appropriate dealership personnel
  • Responsible for the timely resolution of Punch list and service Issues
  • Manage product service and repair for items damages in receipt or from warehouse handling
  • Oversee and report on the department monthly profit margins
  • Maintain and turn over to accounting all receipts/reports for Petty Cash and dept. credit cards
  • Manage staff to ensure that warehouse is kept clean, neat and highly organized, including all stored product, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc.
  • Ensure security of warehouse at all times, including establishment of security procedures and policies for warehouse crew and use by installation field crew
  • Monitor vehicle use and maintain vehicle maintenance and records
  • Enforce the adherence to all DOT regulations regarding vehicles
  • Enforce all OSHA regulations, ensuring warehouse space and procedures support a safe environment for personnel and material
  • Maintain and distribute department uniforms
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

College degree with 4 years of Operations Warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employees are regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.


Working Conditions:

General warehouse environment. Work is generally physical in nature, but may require sitting in a truck for up to 20% of the time. The working environment is indoor and outdoor some temperature control some not, can be unfavorable at times of extreme weather.
