We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team and help create delicious buffet meals for our in house events and outside catering jobs. The ideal candidate will have professional experience in a commercial kitchen, be able to work quickly and efficiently, and have a passion for creating delicious and uniform food that presents well in our buffet presentations. A Senior Cook must be able to work well with other kitchen staff and club management, ensuring that all food is prepared according to health and safety standards. Excellent position for retired or semi-retired person, with work experience in the catering, restaurant, hospital or retirement facility kitchen. Ideal second job for person in the industry. Small, well equipped commercial kitchen and experienced support staff. Schedules variable with workload moderated to fit worker's work / life load. Schedule may include some events on the weekends and evenings. Earnings run about $24 to $32 per hour including share of event service charge. The work load is somewhat adjustable for personal schedules. Responsibilities:
Prepare food for our buffet line for weddings and other events, on site and off site.
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets the highest standards of quality.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed.
Be comfortable working in our relaxed atmosphere, with part-timers work schedule usually set one month in advance.
