MojoVet has an opportunity for a full-time Customer Experience Specialist (CES) to join our team!
MojoVet is a privately owned veterinary practice that provides house call appointments in the Des Moines metropolitan as well as appointments and surgical services in our Waukee veterinary clinic. No day is the same at MojoVet as we see a huge variety of cases. We are passionate about animals and high-level veterinary medicine. Job Description:
The CES is a customer service position requiring receptionist and administrative duties. The primary focus of this role is client communication and coordination of patients. The CES has a critical role in representing the MojoVet brand to the public.
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- We would like candidates to have prior experience working for a veterinary practice, ideally in a customer service role. You must be knowledgeable with veterinary terminology and pet wellness to qualify for this position.
- Computer / IT experience; Previous experience with a veterinary practice information management system, Microsoft office, your typical office machines, online aps.
- Communication skills; clear, polite, and friendly communication is essential. Communication with clients will be done via phone, text, email, and face-to-face daily. Professional and proper grammar is required. If you do not enjoy talking to people all day, this is not the role for you.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skill sets are required to excel in this role. We need to be confident in your ability and previous working experience where these types of skills have been needed.
- Candidates must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of this role including being able to lift and/or help lift animals that can weigh over 100 pounds. You must be willing to sit, stand, crouch, kneel, be on the floor with animals, and move throughout the day. You could be asked to assist with house call appointments or with patients in our office at times. This will not be an exclusive “sit-at-a desk” all day/everyday job.
- Having a compassionate attitude towards clients and situations is essential. We deal with a lot of sick animals, euthanasia, and situations where clients need emotional support.
Skills and experience that would be attractive:
- Additional roles in a veterinary practice such as Assistant, Technician, or management
- Digital marketing, social media experience and/or event planning; must be able to demonstrate knowledge and your experience with performing these tasks in a business environment.
- Experience taking on and completing projects outside of normal job duties.
- Creative and writing skills; be able to demonstrate real examples
