Downtown Asheville Art Gallery is looking for a Shipping Coordinator to successfully manage the logistics involved in installing, packing, and shipping artwork safely. The ideal candidate has a background in handling, shipping, and installing fragile items, strong organizational and communication skills, a willingness to undertake required administrative tasks, and a positive attitude. You will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team and to learn and grow in our expanding organization.
EXPECTATIONS:
Maintain a detailed calendar for shipping work to clients on a timely basis
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Artwork installation
Pack and ship delicate artwork safely
Database location management
Provide exceptional customer service by being consistently polite, and friendly
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Conduct cost comparison and analysis
Create detailed travel and expense log as necessary
A trustworthy, responsible, and strong work ethic
High enthusiasm combined with a positive attitude
Proactive problem-solving skills to address issues quickly
Follow-up with clients regarding shipping information
Assist in maintaining an attractive store appearance
Ability to work efficiently and prioritize as needed
