What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Dialysis position at Mon Health System?
JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the care and support for patients suffering from acute and chronic renal failure. The Registered Nurse must be able to perform all aspects of the nursing process under the Professional Nursing Law. The Dialysis Nurse works with the Nephrologist and Nephrology Nurse Practitioner to coordinate and provide care to dialysis patients. This position will require participation in an on-call rotation. (Night, Weekend or as defined by individual patient needs).
The registered professional nurse position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
This RN participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and program operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum of two years' experience as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of one-two years' experience as a Dialysis Nurse. Experience in Critical Care preferred. CPR and ACLS mandatory.
Licensure/Certification : Licensed to practice nursing in the state of West Virginia.
