Schedule: Four days a week, 8am - 4:30pm
Position Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant works closely with facility Human Resource Director to enhance the employment experience for all staff. The primary responsibilities are to assist the Human Resource Director in recruitment, retention and recognition of staff, manage the employment application and hiring process, provide information and support to staff, maintain and secure all employment related records. This position may also assist in processing time records to submit to payroll for processing.
Job Duties:
This position is responsible for assisting and overseeing employee recognition and mentorship programs. The Human Resource Assistant will serve as a resource to staff for employment related information, workplace conflicts, EAP assistance, payroll and benefits, and employment policies. This position will assist with payroll by entering new employees into the software, tracking scheduling, and ensuring time records are accurate. Maintenance and security of employment related records including updating the HRIS is a primary task of this position. Additional job duties will be assigned by the Human Resource Director.
Qualifications:
Must be a high school graduate. Human Resource education or experience is preferred. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience or education in conflict management is preferred. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
