Driveworks Manager

POSITION PURPOSE

Work directly with engineering, production, and sales to create custom solutions in Driveworks to increase the speed and accuracy of creating models, prints, customer approvals, and quotations. This person will the Driveworks champion for the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Implement Driveworks solutions to reduce the time Engineer a 3D model in Solidworks to under 4 hours in most cases (Year 1).

- Implement solution to automatically create efficient work instructions and prints to the production floor with the goal of speeding up production and eliminating waste and re-work (Year 1-2).

- Work with sales staff to develop quoting system using Driveworks (Year 2).

- Work with customers to create specific portals for configuring and ordering their trucks (Year 2-3)

- Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to create manufacturable prints (ongoing).

- Determine best manufacturing processes and work closely with Production (ongoing).

- Help train engineering, sales, and management on efficient use of Driveworks (ongoing).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

- Using Driveworks/Solidworks

- Bachelor’s degree preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

- Driveworks and Solidworks Proficiency

- Proficient at use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Basic internet proficiency

- Understanding of sheet metal forming and welding

- Ability to effectively communicate with personnel in varying roles, in person, via telephone and email

- Comfortable enforcing procedures if other personnel request circumventing processes

- Majority of the time is spent sitting, some standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending. Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.

Salary : $48,000 - $60,800
