What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Faculty Affairs (Bronx, NY, Us) position at Montefiore?
Under the direction of the Unified Administrator & Associate Administrator the Faculty Affairs Manager manages the Faculty Affairs activities of the Department. This individual is the content expert for this area and as such assures that faculty appointments, onboarding, file management, credentialing, visas transactions are completed in a timely and accurate manner. It is an absolute requirement that faculty are appointed and credentialed before they begin work here and that reappointments, promotions and payments are processed timely and accurately. The individual in this position supervises 1.0 FTE Secretary Senior and will report to the Unified Administrator/ Associate Department Administrator of the department
Responsibilities
Facilitates appointments and reappointments, promotions, credentialing for faculty
Facilitates appointments, credentialing, and terminating GME trainees
Manages and troubleshoots any Visa issues that may arise
Participates in Faculty Orientation process and makes recommendations for changes to faculty orientation
Participates in the recruitment and salary changes processes for faculty positions to ensure seamless communication and timeliness of processes
Requirements
High school diploma/ GED
Bachelors Degree Preferred
3 years work experience managing faculty affairs in a medical academic setting
Ability to track and manage multiple time sensitive deadlines
Technical proficiency in Office products (excel, word, PP)
Ability to problem-solve in a resourceful manner
