The Driver is responsible for delivering and installing durable medical equipment ("DME") for hospice care to patients' homes and/or hospice facilities. Also responsible for DME pickup and drop off at company's service locations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Closely coordinate with Dispatch and Customer Service units: (a) orders, (b) routes, (c) priorities, (d) other tasks as required.
- Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Pick up and clean home medical equipment as needed.
- Perform a safety check on delivery van, and maintain mileage/vehicle check log.
- Maintain equipment tracking and lot number tracking for oxygen and solutions.
- Maintain DME delivery and/or pickup records (paper based and electronically through our CRM, as applicable). This also includes maintaining delivery and/or pickup information (equipment, delivery conditions, logistical problems, etc.).
- In close coordination with Supervisor and Dispatch/Customer Service, assist in resolving client equipment problems when appropriate.
- Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with Company policy.
- Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with Company policy.
- Effectively and efficiently manage and use working time by planning and prioritizing work.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
