The Systems/Network Administrator is accountable for the management, design, development, implementation, and upgrades of infrastructure and software solutions, including end-user support. Responsible for using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business needs to improve and meet service level expectations.
Here's the "Must Have's" of the position:
- Handles & develops servers and is able to solve tech issues.
- Able to exchange a piece of hardware.
- Capable and willing to make software changes & apply settings.
- Understanding of Windows Administration, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Provide high-quality end-user support.
- Monitor systems/software trends and ensure swift operations.
The WHIZ of Active Directory - Able to manage and apply different policies, standardizes the hardware and software through Active Directory. Be able to apply a group standard, as well.
Phone System - Basic knowledge of user administration and reporting.
A look into the Day-to-Day:
- Timely and efficient end-user support and troubleshooting
- Maintain and troubleshoot, where necessary, internal office network and phone systems including servers, switches, routers, access points, VPN, and firewalls.
- Install, support, and maintain PC and Mac hardware including servers, desktops, notebooks, monitors, and printers.
- Setup and maintain email accounts, intranet accounts, Active Directory user accounts, and distribution lists.
- Manage anti-virus and backup systems.
- Maintain software and hardware inventory.
- Remain current on developing technologies and make recommendations as needed to IT management
- Document processes, procedures, training guides, and issue resolutions.
- Manages specific departmental systems including identification, diagnosis, and resolution of day-to-day hardware and software operational problems.
Position requirements:
- Knowledge of cloud-based phone systems such as RingCentral/Dialpad, or any other major and/or minor system.
- Good understanding of Windows Administration.
- Experience providing ongoing directory administration functions; timely and efficient problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with installing/supporting Windows Server 2012-2016, Windows 10, and MS Office 2016 (or newest version(s)).
- Network Administration and Active Directory skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to various backup and antivirus solutions.
- Experience with Google Workspace/GSuite: Mail and Apps.
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
Following experience a plus:
- Firewalls, routers, and switches (Cisco, or any other major and/or minor system, SonicWall, Meraki, Dell, HP)
- Virtualization (VMware, VMware View, Hyper-V)
- Desktop imaging and deployment technologies
- MCSE or related technical certification is preferred
- Linux experience
