What are the responsibilities and job description for the Authorization Coordinator position at Moreau Physical Therapy?
We are currently accepting resumes for full time Insurance Authorization Coordinators to join our outstanding team!
This position is responsible for obtaining authorizations for treatment from various payers, preparing all necessary documents and attachments to facilitate the authorization process, following up on pending authorization requests and expiring authorizations; running appropriate reports to identify upcoming expirations, submitting requests for additional authorization when indicated, maintaining patient files with accurate and current authorization information, effectively communicating with all departments/locations throughout the authorization process, assisting with insurance verification and other billing department duties as assigned.
Our ideal candidate for this position must be self-disciplined and able to work independently and effectively. They must be able to multi-task, have attention to detail- authorizations are often discipline-specific, code-specific and occasionally, provider-specific. Previous authorization experience is a plus!
