JOB TITLE: Operations Supervisor of Aquatics-Seasonal
REPORTS TO: Aquatics Operations Supervisor
DEPT: Operations
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists the Seasonal Operations Senior Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the department. Primarily focus on team member performance and ensuring a smooth daily operation with the emphasis on safety, guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the operations of aquatic attractions ensuring that all guidelines are met in regards to operation, guest service skills, park cleanliness criteria and general operations.
- Ensure that all attraction entrance and exit safety procedures are being followed
- Ensure Park clearance and guest satisfaction before opening.
- Perform timely chemical check of water quality
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Respond to radio calls and communicate with maintenance in regards to ride downtime
- Organize and assist in trainings, retraining and in-services
- Supervise and assist in the set up and break down of scheduled events
- Ability to respond quickly under high stress and emergency situations
- Will assume the responsibilities of Seasonal Operations Senior Supervisor as needed
- Responsible for completing audits and evaluations for team member performance
- Create and foster an atmosphere of friendliness and hospitality in the park office to ensure an enjoyable experience for staff, and guests.
- Cultivate staff morale by monitoring team dynamics and individual needs.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior hospitality experience recommended
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and organize varied/multiple tasks
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks
- Commitment to the mission and core values of Morgan’s Wonderland as well as the implementation of these values in all daily work activities.
- Willingness and enthusiasm to work as part of a team; maintain a positive attitude even under stress.
- Mandatory to work weekends and have a flexible schedule that varies by the season of the year.
Working Conditions
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and twisting upper body for long periods of time
- Capable of viewing computer monitors.
- The work environment is an outdoor park environment with continuous outdoor activity and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
- Must remain alert with no lapses of consciousness
- Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate park staff attire
