Team Profile:
The Institutional Securities Lending Controllers team is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting business performance, such as revenues, balance sheet, allowance and provision for credit losses. The team is responsible for regular monthly and quarterly reporting of key business performance metrics. This is a high-profile team with significant exposure to senior management in both Finance and Credit Risk. The team is involved in a variety of division-wide projects, new business initiatives and ad-hoc work for the department leadership team. The team operates as a centralized consultancy team and liaison for many other groups within Finance, acts as a hub for time-sensitive requests and creates a knowledge base that can be leveraged by product controllers.

You will:
> Coordinate and prepare lending metrics, reporting and analytics across all Institutional Securities businesses globally
> Represent Institutional Securities Lending in senior management forums (for example, leading meetings with the ISG CFO)
> Support processes relating to external reporting including SEC 10-Q/K and the quarterly Earnings Release and Supplement
> Work with global loan product controllers and Accounting Policy to implement accounting guidance
> Liaise with Credit Risk on various integrated functions, inclusive of Allowance for Credit Losses
> Participate in loan-related strategic projects representing global loan product controllers
> Support projects focused on process reengineering, improving efficiency, and working with IT on improving systems
> Initiate enhancements to overall processes, flows, operations and deliverables
> Manage ad-hoc requests from key clients and senior management
You have:
> Exceptional analytical, technical and organizational skills with extremely high standards for attention to detail and accuracy
> Strong, data-oriented problem-solving skills (creative thinking / mindset to think beyond status quo)
> Self-motivated personality, ability to independently drive change
> Strong accounting knowledge, CPA is a plus, lending related accounting knowledge is also a plus
> Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner and thrive in a fast-paced environment, especially around critical quarter end close cycles
> Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
> Experience in at least one of the following areas: product control, financial reporting, balance sheet, income statement
> Ability and willingness to work with virtual teams across regions towards common goals
> Aptitude for working in a swiftly changing, dynamic environment
> Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
> 7-10 years of work experience in a related field

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
