JOB SUMMARY

The Product Administrator is an entry-level/administrative position supporting the Morris product lines from a product attribute and technical standpoint. The individual(s) are expected to gain a strong knowledge and awareness of the core electrical and lighting product lines, in support of the Product Management and Technical Support teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

· Create and manage all product documentation such as specification sheets, LM-79 documents, photometric IES files, Installation Instruction sheets, and MSDS sheets. Ensure that all documentation is kept up-to-date and easily accessible.

· Become proficient with the Agi32 Lighting Layout Tool. Design lighting layouts for customers when the primary designer is unavailable. Manage all photometric IES files. Convert IES files from factory data to customer data. Review completed lighting layout designs before sending to the customer and revise as needed.

· Manage and maintain all product listings and certifications such as UL, DLC, CSA, ETL, and Energy Star. Keep product certification data organized and easily accessible. Ensure that all product certifications are renewed on time, updated as needed, and upgraded to new certification standards as required. As new products are introduced, ensure all multi-listings and certifications are complete before the product arrives.

· Technical Support backup - Assist with Technical Support phone and email inquiries. Ensure that all inquiries are answered and resolved in a timely manner.

· Assist with the release of product catalogs, brochures, and additional marketing material. Spot check / Proof marketing material and data spreadsheets as needed for accuracy. Provide product certification information as needed for packaging and label design. Inform the marketing team of any new packaging/label requirements given by UL, DLC, etc.

· Manage outside resources to ensure they are being provided with consistent work and tasks that are of higher priority. Review all completed work to ensure Morris's standards and accuracy are being met at all times.

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

· Proven experience in managing multiple projects from initial requirements gathering through product release and rollout.

· Strong MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.

· Ability to work effectively with the marketing team, sales force, Production Planners, contract factories, operations, and business leadership teams.

· BA/BS Undergraduate degree is preferred; not required in Marketing, Business, or related field or AAS with relevant industry experience.

· High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction

· Excellent communications and presentation skills

· Electrical Supply industry knowledge preferred.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Working in a matrixed environment, the role will work closely with the Marketing Team, Production Planning, and Operations. The role will interface regularly with sales, sourcing, product marketing, sales operations, and customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Smoke-free, professional office environment. The workstation may be in a high-traffic area within a busy department. The standard workweek is 40 hours, with the ability to work overtime when needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must have the ability to use hands and fingers to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. In addition, must have the ability to move freely throughout the facility without physical limitation, and the capacity to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and have the ability to bend, stoop and reach.
