What are the responsibilities and job description for the (USA) Temp - Dispatcher position at Morrison Express?
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure all customer KPI’s are met daily
- Load planning/building loads, communicating heavily with team members for consolidation opportunities
- Build & maintain relationships with Carriers
- Negotiate & book trucks in the most cost-effective ways while following customer requirements and insuring on time delivery
- Create BOL’s/Delivery Orders in a timely manner, making sure Customs Clearances are in hand before releasing goods
- Data Entry, enter milestones into Morrison system in a timely manner
- Answer emails in a timely & professional manner
- Track and trace orders and enter & upload POD information into the system once delivered
- Approve invoices
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years in a dispatch or truck brokerage environment negotiating rates and booking Dry Vans, Straight Trucks and Sprinter/Cargo Vans with carriers.
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment with a Good Can-Do Attitude
- Good Time Management with attention to detail
- Looking for a detail-oriented individual with the ability to maintain a good positive attitude towards employees, customers, and carriers with the willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.
- Candidate must be able to work rotating Sundays.
