- Pay: Starting at: $18.01 / hour
- This position functions as a healthcare provider who serves as a medical imaging professional providing clinically relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position's role and responsibilities include providing diagnostic medical imaging services and its various clinical specialties. This position's activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures. This position will take call as needed to support departmental needs and help provide departmental coverage 24 hours/7 days per week.
- This position works under the delegated authority of the Department Director and supervising physician, and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
- Prepare exam room and equipment to conduct examinations in accordance with infections disease, sterilization, and patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Assume responsibility for the safety of the patient during the examination.
- Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information.
- Ensure that the examination order is complete, contains relevant information, and meets the standard of “medical necessity.”
- Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient preparation, and the patient’s inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination and associated procedures.
- Communicate with the patient in a manner appropriate to the patient’s ability to understand. Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the diagnostic medical examination ordered by the provider in accordance with professional and facility protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
- All required education is a minimum requirement. Higher levels of education are acceptable. High School Diploma required and must be currently attending a radiology program.
- (Registered) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months post graduation from Radiology program required within 180 days of hire. BLS - Basic Life Support required.
