POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss' Solar Recruiter will collaborate with management on a regular basis and proactively identify future and current hiring needs. Our ideal Recruiter should be able to develop creative strategies to find best talent to support multiple Solar utility scale project sites.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a recruiting strategy that will develop an active pipeline to support active and future hourly labor needs per project site by studying and understanding organization plans, objectives, forecasted hiring needs, and project location demographic in collaboration with the project site team
- Gain thorough understanding of value proposition for candidates, including the culture and benefits of working for Moss, and ways to effectively articulate these details to candidates to attract them to Moss, over other open opportunities in the marketplace
- Work with hiring managers to determine/understand key job duties, position profiles, business requirements, and establish creative strategies to proactively identify candidates in each location/market including advertising
- Learn and study any location-specific details which will assist with grassroots efforts at local community centers, workforce centers, chamber of commerce, churches, trade schools, etc.
- Generate interest in open positions and engage with talent in a variety of ways including networking, phone calls, texts, emails, social media, Indeed, and other job boards to identify a diverse slate of potential candidates
- Coordinate and participate in hiring events for each project site
- Review resumes and conduct initial phone screens with qualified applicants
- Coordinate with candidates and hiring managers to schedule manager phone and onsite interviews
- Travel to work sites and local areas for sourcing and recruiting efforts
- Assist candidates with the application process, as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of at least one year of previous candidate sourcing or recruiting experience with hourly, non-exempt positions is required to be successful in this role
- Experience recruiting in the Construction or Renewable Energy Industries is a plus
- Remote work available with regular travel to local worksites and locations for grassroots recruiting efforts and hiring events (up to 30% travel requirement, which will be dependent upon project and needs)
- Experience with networking, candidate sourcing, outreach, cold calling, etc. using social media, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, veteran/military, campus/schools, grassroots community efforts, and/or other related sources of talent
- Ability to build trusted partnerships with Hiring Managers, Recruiters, and Project Leaders
- Demonstrates the ability to efficiently manage own time, activities, and resources. Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results; prioritize complex multiple activities and projects. Recommends improvements to prevent reemergence of resolved issues
- MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat proficiency required
- Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism regarding personnel information and sensitive subjects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills and phone etiquette
- Demonstrates detailed knowledge of company goals and missions
- Capable of establishing and nurturing longstanding relationships with industry professionals
- Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner; ask appropriate questions in order to obtain information; listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.
