What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host Coordinator position at MOTAT?
Here at MOTAT we have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on individual with great coordination skills. Reporting to the Visitor Services Manager, you will be responsible of supporting the Visitor Services Hosts in their day-to-day activities to ensure visitors will have a memorable experience. No two days are the same at MOTAT!
Role Overview
Being the Host Coordinator at MOTAT means mixing your admin and people skills to support the Host team and make sure everything runs smoothly. Just to list some of your daily tasks, you will be:
- the go-to person for solving last minutes challenges;
- supporting morning and afternoon briefings;
- creating the host roster; and
- ensuring the team is being supported through on-the-job training and development.
This is a varied role where you will build trust and strong relationships with the Host team, engage with our visitors, and provide support to our amazing Visitor Services Manager.
This is a full-time role working Tuesday to Saturday, but we are open to adjusting the working hours for the right person. Some flexibility is also required for events and the running of programmes.
About You
You have experience in a similar coordinator role, great customer service skills, planning and coordination experience, the ability to communicate effectively with a different range of people and a flexible and adaptable approach. You are a natural problem-solver and a “people person” attentive to the needs of others. You are also confident with systems as you will have to deal with our POS, CRM, and rostering systems. Experience with Tessitura and/or Deputy would be beneficial.
We have developed our own workbooks to upskill the team, so experience with workbook development and/or updates would be a useful skill to have.
What’s in for You
Being part of the MOTAT Team means we look to inspire your thoughts and ideas as well as give you the confidence to come to work as your true self every day and be valued. We think this is a pretty sweet place to work with so much on offer. Our fun, friendly team are reflective of this unique environment we work in. Amongst our benefits you will be offered a MOTAT Mates pass for you and your whānau, Study Leave, Birthday Leave, additional KiwiSaver contributions and more.
