Mother Earth Wellness is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and dispensary operator located in Rhode Island. We are currently constructing a state-of-the-art facility to service the existing medical cannabis client base. Recreational cannabis will be legalized in Rhode Island December 1, 2022, bringing the addressable market to over 1 million consumers in a 50-mile radius.

Mother Earth Wellness brings extensive customer service knowledge, restaurant ownership, design capabilities, construction experience to the market, and our Pawtucket, Rhode Island location, currently under construction, is slated to open this year in October. We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced Packaging Associate to join our team during this exciting time in our journey.

Job Duties

Mother Earth is seeking multiple Packaging Associates to support our current cultivation operation and soon-to-open Compassion Center. Role-specific tasks will include manual packaging of cannabis product and compliant labelling, as well as the operation of packaging equipment, trimming, packing, cleaning, and any other tasks as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-Time

Role and Responsibilities - Supervised by Director of Packaging

• Operation of packaging equipment
• Cleaning & preparation of rooms and equipment
• Order Fulfillment support: Picking, checking & packing
• Product packaging & general production support
• Processing products
• Labeling products
• Packaging orders for shipment or storage
• Completing paperwork in a timely manner
• Updating software as required by SOPs and regulations
• Lifting & stocking boxes of up to 50lbs.
• Additional duties dependent on business needs

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
• Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry, including a State required background check.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds. Work requires periods of prolonged sitting and standing, some bending, stopping, and stretching. Work requires heavy use of hands to squeeze, pinch, and secure packages.
