Since 2017, Mothering Justice has grown significantly from a team of five to over twenty staff members and is expanding its impact nationally. To support this growth, Mothering Justice is seeking a well-organized self-starter to join our staff as a Data Organizer. The Mothering Justice Data Organizer plays a key role in supporting campaign strategy and direct voter contact programs for the progressive movement. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for helping others do their best work, and has a combination of technical and political data analysis skills. This position reports directly to the Political Director.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the political team in implementing and executing Mothering Justice/Mothering Justice Action Fund’s organizational goals.

  • Actively participate in the creation of work plans and team benchmarks for success using data.

  • Manage voter file access for MJ/MJAF. This includes administration, security, training end-users, and providing technical assistance as needed.

  • Work with staff, partners, vendors, consultants, and others for the acquisition, enhancement, manipulation, and management of voter and member data.

  • Coordinate and/or facilitate campaign data training for internal staff using Every Action, Action Builder and organizational VAN (Voter Activation Network). This includes identifying the various training needs, creating the necessary training materials, and leading the presentations.

  • Provide support, including training and troubleshooting, for the implementation of various campaign data management tools.

  • Responsible for coalition alignment on data and targeting which may include participating and leading various work groups or other meetings.

  • Responsible for sharing data and best practices during coalition meetings. This includes supporting staff to develop campaign plans, supporting coalition partners through the development of campaign plans (electoral, redistricting, voting rights, and issue campaigns), providing technical assistance, responding to programmatic requests and participating actively in long-range strategic planning.

  • Data analysis and coordination efforts by providing strategic data-driven recommendations to partners on campaign field and targeting.

  • Leading data presentations.
