Technician - Dealership

MotorKings Murfreesboro is growing and looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. We have acquired a new location with an 8 bay shop and we are building an in-house reconditioning operation for our used car inventory. We need a dedicated Dealership Reconditioning Tech who enjoys working with all makes of vehicles with needs that range from simple maintenance to more advanced diagnostic troubleshooting to engine and transmission work. There is very limited retail customer base at this time. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 9:30am - 6:00pm and the weekends are yours! We offer paid time off, a heated shop, and a very competitive wage depending on your experience. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years experience and ASE certifications; both are preferred but ASE not required. We currently do not offer flat rate pay plans. We pay based on the scheduled 40 hours a week. Productivity Bonus Plans are available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair automotive problems, including engine, transmission, electrical, fuel pump, air conditioning, brakes, steering, suspension, and other components.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicle engines and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems (alternator, battery, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an automotive technician.
• Valid driver’s license required
• Basic mechanical & electrical knowledge required
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g. manuals, warranty or repair orders) required.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
