Senior Technical Business Analyst (Remote)

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility company, is looking for a remote Senior Technical Business Analyst for their Portland, OR location. In this role, you will gather high value detailed requirements for the implementation of a Project Portfolio Management System software application and a Document Management System Application.

Key Responsibilities for Senior Technical Business Analyst:

• Take responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organization change.
• Apply and monitor the use of modelling and analysis tools, methods, and standards, giving special consideration to business perspectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
• Facilitate scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes, engaging senior stakeholders as required.
• Select the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative.
• Drive the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying which stakeholder input is required.
• Obtain formal agreement from a large and diverse range of potentially senior stakeholders and recipients to the scope and requirements and establish a baseline on which delivery of a solution can commence.
• Takes responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to program scope.
• Identifies the impact on business requirements of external impacts affecting a program or project.

Requirements/Qualifications for Senior Technical Business Analyst:

• 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, specifically requirements gathering.
• Bachelor s degree and Certified Business Analysis Professional preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of business analysis framework.
• Expert knowledge of discovery techniques and requirements definition.
• Expert knowledge of requirements documentation.
• Advanced knowledge of client relationship management techniques and client service models.
• Advanced knowledge of business process improvement frameworks.
• Requirements gathering background with IT integrations and IT application implementations.
• Proficiency in conflict management and prioritization of requirements.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Products, including advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to create data visualizations and communicate highly technical processes to business professionals.
• Experience with Power BI highly preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting highly preferred.
• Experience with QuickBase, P6, Oracle ERP, Coupa, Maximo, WinEst, and/or DevonWay preferred.
