Durango Mountain Club Breakfast Attendant
Durango Mountain Club (DMC) is a private club for homeowners and certain guests located at Purgatory Resort in Durango, CO. Our standards for excellence are high, as our members expect a high class experience and a smiling face first thing in the morning when they come in for breakfast. This is a part time position, but could transition into more hours come winter season for the right person.
General Purpose
The Breakfast Attendant position requires punctuality and attention to detail. They are responsible for arriving no later than 6:45AM to start setting up the continental breakfast for members and guests. A key element of this role is carefully setting up our breakfast items in a tasteful manner and double checking that all items remain stocked and available to patrons during the breakfast hours of 7:30AM to 10:00AM. At the end of breakfast, items will be properly wrapped and returned to their respective locations, and the area will be cleaned and ready to present for the lunch service. Success in this role will be demonstrated by positive feedback from staff members and guests. Responsibilities include setting up, tearing down, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.

Material and Equipment Directly Used: Cleaning agents, clothes, Kitchen Service-ware
Working Environment/ Physical Activities: Indoor mountain restaurant environment. Over 70% of the work day is spent walking and standing.
Frequently balancing, stooping, reaching, and handling objects. Frequently lifting and carrying objects up to 65 pounds.

- Ensures restaurant adherence to health and sanitation standards
- Assists staff when needed
- Carefully puts away food per health code standards
- Cleans and leaves the area ready for lunch service
- Prior experience in a service industry environment
- Works well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Great communication and coordination skills
- Can work AM’s on weekends and holidays, and handle shifting work schedules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
