IT Technician I
General Purpose:
The IT Technician I primary focuses are in the areas of exceptional customer service, Durango Mountain Utility (DMU) cable modem installation/troubleshooting, computer operations, computer repair, server build/install and maintenance, network infrastructure (hardware and software), Active Directory and Google suite, wire and cable installation, Siriusware POS support (hardware and software), user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk, and data management.
Performs a variety of complex information technology support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services. Monitors, operates, coordinates, assists, and trains others in the operation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals to achieve desired results.
Utilizes computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of customer assistance, production job processing, equipment maintenance and repair and computer operations assignments.
Works independently with some supervision, updates supervisor on status of projects and technical issues. Exercise’s judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determines when to refer problems to the next level of support or supervisor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for guests and homeowners (customers of DMU) for cable modem installation/troubleshooting, cable television systems, and other network issues/needs.
- Perform underground locates of IT infrastructure.
- Install conduit and pull coaxial cable and other types of network wiring into place.
- Provide technical support for Purgatory Resort guests and staff in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Set up and configure desktop computers, peripherals and accounts assigning appropriate access to secure resources.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures and/or escalate to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Administer user accounts; Active Directory, Google Suite, Siriusware POS systems.
- Aid with build, Install, configure, and maintain servers.
- Design and produce reports.
- Work with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems.
- Generate and maintain documentation for hardware and software implementation.
- Generate and maintain user documentation and instructions when necessary, particularly when new equipment/procedures are put into place..
- Contribute to IT team goals by accomplishing related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant related position and experience.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
The majority of the work day is spent indoors at select locations working with guests and staff. Time may be spent walking between buildings in changing weather conditions. A partial amount of the work day can be spent sitting while completing tasks at your designated area. Employees must be constantly engaged in customer conversation when appropriate. Staff must be frequently reaching, handling, near acuity, depth perception, color and field of vision.
Salary : $18 - $22
