What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Worker position at MOUNTAIN CARE PHARMACY?

Mountain Care Pharmacy is a locally owned and operated, closed door Pharmacy.

We will be providing on-site childcare for our employees! We are looking for a committed, reliable person to come care for and love on our kiddos! You will have a Supervisor to help share the load and ideally, stagger schedules.

Monday-Friday 9am-6pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and organize materials to ensure order in activity areas.
Supervise children at all times.
Reinforcement of good behavior through the use of positive behavior supports.
Establish a supportive relationship with the parent and child to provide a positive
experience.
Communicate rules and encourage parents and children to set and maintain standards of
behavior.
Alert your Supervisor to any problem or special information about each individual child.
Keep your Supervisor informed of activities and any issues that may arise.
Operate and care for equipment used in the classroom.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials,
and facilities.
Keep accurate records for each child, including daily observations and information about
activities and meals served.
Assume responsibility for his or her continuing professional growth and development
through such efforts as reading professional journals and other publications.
Seek assistance should emergencies arise.
Represent the Company in a positive manner
Know and follow Company policies and chain of command.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required
Training and experience in childcare preferred
Must have current CPR certification and first aid training or be willing to obtain such
training and certification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrate aptitude for working with children
Works well with children, staff, and Supervisor
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to work under pressures and deadlines
Maintain confidentiality of staff, students, and children

PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS:
Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns.

PRODUCTIVITY/EFFICIENCY SKILLS: Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary; organize job functions and work area to be able to effectively complete varied assignments within established time frame.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; regularly walk and stand and reach with hands and arms; regularly lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision; very good depth perception; and the ability to communicate through speech.
