Finance Department Manager(No Direct Reports) Job Description


Reports to: Sales Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION
: Grow the Finance department’s gross profits in accordance with the expectations set forth by leadership while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction and team culture.

COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT: Manage finance business policies and procedures to ensure company and legal standards are met


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Language Skills to include the ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to use computer software programs to complete daily tasks.
  • Reasoning Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Making judgments in emergencies. Making decisions on facts and on judgements.
  • Work Experience Requirements 2 to 10 years related experience and or training.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Regular attendance during normal scheduled store hours including the ability to work 9 hours per day and the ability to work weekends.
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting
  • The ability to work in a high stress environment and the ability to work under tight deadlines which may require longer/later hours as needed.
  • The ability to continually engage and interact with others, including clients and employees throughout the work day via various methods of communications including phone and computer usage.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs
  • Occasional pushing of up to 100 lbs


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Occasional exposure to changes in temperature and humidity
  • Frequent working with and around others
  • Occasional work around mechanical parts
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Occasional work around moving objects, (including dogs and other service animals)
  • Noise level is low to high

Achieve agreed-upon finance and insurance sales, penetration and profitability goals.

Manage finance business policies and procedures to ensure company and legal standards are met

Finance Business Execution:
  • Effectively utilize the finance and insurance sales process to sell products to all customers.
  • Effectively work with other employees, departments and/or locations to give the customer a seamless experience in ways that promote teamwork and store profitability.
  • Ensure all department objectives and goals are met in alignment with company standards and performance plans.
  • Maintain department alignment with company chargeback % standards.
  • Productively and tactfully sell the best solutions/products for both the customer and the dealership with approaches to sell that builds customer confidence and knowledge in their purchase.
  • Minimum $1000.00 per unit after chargebacks in backend profit
  • Maintain at or above the minimum penetration percentages for products sold
  • Maintain alignment with company chargeback 7% standard
  • Effectively use the menu selling process.
  • Successfully train the sales team members how to identify customers willing to convert from cash and customers not willing to convert from cash. Maximize cash sales.
  • Ensure that a process is in place and followed with sales staff to turn over clients with outside finance sources in order to capture finance products prior to cashier checks being issued


Compliance Management:
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all required documents in ways that meet all legal, regulatory and company guidelines / values.
  • Responsible for deal compliance. All red flag, OFAC, privacy laws and any/all other regulations required by law or MMS.
  • Maintain compliance with dealer agreements, lender agreements and company guidelines and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with payment handling procedures
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing and EVO input of all required paperwork in ways that meet all legal, regulatory and company guidelines / values.
  • Follow up daily on all of the deals waiting on stipulations or approvals.
  • Ensure deals are submitted for funding in a timely manner. 24 hours excluding days off.
  • Ensure all documentation required by banks and/or MMS are complete at the time of the deal to eliminate all funding delays.
  • Ensure deals funded by banks within 5 days and notify GM and Accounting of status via email daily
  • Return client calls and/or emails within the same business day
  • Review F&I Chargeback a/r weekly
  • Maintain the sales log accurately, daily
  • Be able to functionally back up the Sales Manager in his/her absence.
  • Understand how to structure and submit sales deals
  • Effectively use all digital systems per company policies.

  • Effectively and accurately use EVO to build deals per company policies.
    • Finance products categorized correctly
    • Credit card fees collected
  • Regular, scheduled. predictable attendance is required during store hours to process deals, assist the sales manager and help manage and train the team.
  • Direct and maintain exceptionally above average cleanliness of the property/store including but not limited to: trash, floors, parking areas, bathrooms, doors, windows and window sills.
