What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1204-013 Dialysis Tech - FT position at Mountain View Regional Medical Center?
The primary purpose of the certified hemodialysis Technician is to functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis treatment for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in accordance with MVRMC policies, procedures and training and in compliance with the regulations set forth by the corporation, state and federal agencies. Responsible for the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Supports the MVRMC mission, vision and values.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Preferred: A certificate of successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
Experience:
Preferred: One (1) year as a Hemodialysis Care Technician
Preferred: Acute Dialysis experience
Licenses/Certificates:
Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) - Due by close of business on the last day of the month after one (1) full month of work.
Preferred: Certificate from Fresenius School of Hemodialysis Equipment Maintenance.
Preferred: Current hemodialysis certification with NM Board of Nursing.
Preferred: Current American Nephrology Nurses Association CCHT and or / BONET
