Job Summary and Qualifications

The Market Recruitment & GME Liaison for our Hospital Based Physicians (HBP) service lines will recruit qualified physicians for medical staff and will develop strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the company. The Market Recruitment & GME Liaison is accountable to communicate and implement corporate strategic initiatives to meet the program goals and objectives.

What you will do in this role:

Market GME Liaison Duties Include:

  • Work directly with our Program Directors and Coordinators to determine target residents/fellows for retention strategies.
  • Develop strategic methods to identify, track, and communicate openings to graduating residents.
  • Create and attend all GME market and educational events, participate in resident orientation process, and build relationships with all residents.
  • Report GME recruitment activity and resident retention, measure and improve retention on an on-going basis, break down costs of resident events.
  • Participate in resident orientation process. Build relationships with every HCA resident.

Market Recruitment Liaison Duties Include:

  • In coordination with the recruitment team, develop effective recruitment strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physicians in training and in practice in designated specialties.
  • Maintain open and responsive communication between recruitment department, hospital administration team, appropriate practice personnel, and candidates.
  • Develop recruiting contracts with residency and fellowship programs.
  • Represent the company at association meetings and physician training programs.
  • Identify and evaluate trends on healthcare recruitment, including location conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans to respond to these trends.
  • Coordinate physician facility/community site visits to include tours of the community(s) and housing options, meetings with facility administration, key medical staff members and tours of the facility(s).
  • Work on behalf of CEO and hospital administration team to maintain relationships with affiliated physicians throughout medical staff to maintain communication on recruitment matters and practice situations that may affect the hospital
  • Maintain relationships and partner with key hospital personnel such as Department directors and Medical leaders.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Two to five years’ experience in recruitment or related physician relations activities required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (appropriate experience can be substituted for education)
  • Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Healthcare experience (preferably in Graduate Medical Education) preferred
  • Must reside in the Las Vegas, NV or surrounding area OR be willing to relocate to the area
