Internship Objective
To provide a meaningful work experience over a period of 10 weeks which is mutually beneficial to the Company and the successful intern candidate. Interns will be assigned a mentor and a project to be completed during their assignment. Interns will perform additional assignments; however, completion of the project will be the primary objective for the work experience.
Job Requirements

- Will be exposed to responsibilities in:
- Packaging design & development
- Packaging sustainability
- Change control
- Executing packaging tests & tracking results
- Current good manufacturing practices
- Drafting reports & presenting ideas
- Supply chain analyses & risk mitigation
- Budgeting and forecasting for various packaging and manufacturing supply components
- Travel to poultry processing facilities in Delaware and North Carolina, plus supplier packaging manufacturer facilities.
- Participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/networking building activities and local community volunteer programs.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or similar platforms
- Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Efficient, detail-oriented w/ great organizational skills
- Ability to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to effectively communicate and present ideas
- Prefer candidate enrolled in undergraduate program with a major in Packaging Science/Packaging Engineering or Supply Chain/Operations Mgt
