What are the responsibilities and job description for the B2B Marketing Director position at MOVERS+SHAKERS?
THE ROLE
Want to work on one of the hottest brands in the marketing agency world? Do you thrive wearing many hats, from social to PR? Do you love both strategy and execution?
You’ll be responsible for building the Movers Shakers brand across (1) thought leadership (2) new business and (3) talent recruiting. With the support of a marketing coordinator, you’ll have your fingers in every cookie jar, as you develop and execute plans to level up our marketing. You’ll work cross-functionally with our whole company, as you source thought leadership, publish case studies, produce webinars, and more.
You’ll report to, and be mentored by, our co-founder and CEO, who is very passionate about personal and professional development. You will have one direct report, along with support from our culture coordinator and in-house designers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Increase our agency’s already-exponential growth curve through innovative B2B marketing, and continue to build our employer brand to attract the best talent.
- Ideate and develop marketing strategies on how we can optimize our marketing both internally and externally
- Lead execution of all aspects of agency marketing
- Be the champion for our Movers Shakers brand, ensuring our digital presence remains up to date as our agency continues to grow and evolve
- Build Movers Shakers employer brand through innovative content and compelling creative, partnering closely with our HR and recruiting teams
- Build Movers Shakers’ thought leadership platform. Assist in developing thought leadership materials (blogs, marketing decks, white papers, webinars, talks)
- Direct and manage speaking engagements, conferences, events and sponsorships
- Manage email marketing including monthly newsletters, webinar follow ups and more
- Strategize and manage our social media presence, working with internal M S creative team
- Build and manage partnerships with other agencies and referral partners
- Collaborate and direct our PR firm in building compelling stories around M S
- Manage award submissions
- Lead, inspire, and develop direct reports; establish goals, and create accountability for results
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years B2B marketing experience (preferably including work at a small/mid-sized marketing agency). Please note that this job is posted at different levels because we are interested in exploring candidates at different levels, however, there is only one marketing position open at this time.
- At least one year of management experience
- Entrepreneurial spirit. Passion for trying new things, working self-directed, and measuring performance.
- Strong writing skills for joyful blogs, social media captions, marketing decks, etc.
- A love for social media, trends, pop culture and marketing.
- A strong eye for design and great creative
- Experience with recruitment marketing is a big plus
- Ability to flex and navigate effectively through ambiguity and in an ever-changing environment
- Excellent planning skills and the ability to look ahead to determine risks and mitigating strategies
- An understanding of Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, Squarespace, Adobe Suite and other technical marketing tools. Experience with LinkedIn Business Manager is a plus.
- Deep understanding of new and emerging acquisition channels
- Experience working cross-functionally with creatives, strategists and client services.
