Job Summary

The Manager of FP&A at MOXFIVE is a position where you will work closely with the CFO and broader team to achieve the strategic goals of the company as we enter our next phase of growth. In this role, you will also be responsible for forecasting, expense management, data analysis, and reporting that supports executive decision making. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader and mentor for the team, can work well cross functionally, and has a solid foundation of accounting, audit/tax related topics, and financial operations.

The Role

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly management dashboard, month end reporting package, and other operational reporting.
  • Drive weekly/monthly/quarterly revenue forecasting and sales pipeline forecasting.
  • Assist with tax filings and state/local business registrations as needed.
  • Execute and carry out priorities of the CFO, including facilitating communications, synthesizing data driven analytical insights, and driving quarterly business reviews.
  • Drive & oversee forecasting, manage department budgets, and data analytics for executive leadership.
  • Assist with all accounting operations as needed, including Client Invoicing, A/R, A/P, and month end close activities.

Requirements

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance within a high growth company.
  • Understanding of GAAP relevant to the IT/Cybersecurity space, especially around topics such as revenue recognition, state sales tax, and other tax related items.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing vendor contracts, SOWs, and quotes to clients.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and energy with a desire to be part of a fast growing start-up environment.
  • Hands on and willing to be “in the weeds” as a part of a nimble and fast paced team.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent & effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Has innate “sense of urgency” and available to work outside of business hours, as needed.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel or Power BI
  • Working knowledge of a CRM software
  • Licensed CPA
